Knucklehead Charities sends 50 kids to Purdue Men’s B-Ball Game
As the Purdue Men’s Basketball team wraps up their regular season against Northwestern on Saturday March 3rd, 50 second and third graders from
For many of the students this will be the first opportunity they have had to step on a college campus much less attend a basketball game. The kids will be chaperoned by third grade teacher Sara Inskeep and a small group of volunteers. Mrs. Inskeep has been a breath of fresh air to work with because she makes sure each and every student knows that they have what it takes to become a college graduate when they get a little older.
These are the type of memories that last a lifetime with children of this age, and it appears to be working due to the active participation of teachers and administrators who teach the value of going to college. Knucklehead Charities has focused on supporting those schools and teachers who can help create an atmosphere of learning and promotion of higher education.
This is the second group that Knucklehead Charities has sponsored this spring. On January 25th, KHC donated 45 tickets to the families of “The Foundations” which is a special needs organization that participated in a halftime exhibition scrimmage during the Purdue / Northwestern Women’s Basketball game. This is the third consecutive year KHC has sponsored The Foundations.
Knucklehead Charities also sent 300 kids to Purdue Football games last fall and has sent well over 1200 kids to Purdue events over the last 5 years.
